it got OM is 2009 as well. While we did finish with 9 wins, it was a disappointing season based on the hype.

Has there been a SOB in the league more smug than Houston Dale Nutt? When he got in Giggidy mode he didn't care and everybody else could just deal with it

No, and our chanting Houston Nutt during his first win over Ark did not help. I guess Spurrier was more smug but he earned it.

I never really considered Spurrier "smug". I consider it more of a confidence and swagger thing. When a team of his crapped the bed, he didn't have a problem owning it and being brutally honest about it. Plus, when he was at his most arrogant, he was usually proven right.

In Nutt's case, he never really had a reason to be proud of anything. He's like that guy that wants everyone to take him seriously but everyone's too busy cringing or laughing at him over his general silliness.

I mean, look at that SI cover. That's just a couple years removed from him being run out of Arkansas under some pretty embarrassing circumstances. The guy has no self-awareness. Spurrier, on the other had, knew who he was, wasn't afraid to tell you about it, and usually backed it up, which is why he is still so respected.

I remember that 2009 Ole Miss/South Carolina game. Was a Thursday night and I had a test the next day... one of the loudest games I've ever been to. We destroyed Jevan Snead.

Yes you did. He had happy feet the rest of the year. It was the biggest issue with that team.

our story is almost biblical. Survive and overcome, but never succeed.

Well that cat Moses had to wander the desert for 40 years and only got to see the land of Milk & Honey.

Jews are gods chosen people and they get persecuted the most.

Maybe tLandmass reward will only come in the next world

Hard to believe that’s just 5 years ago....seems like 20 years.

People, teams, businesses always regress to their median average. I think OM is a little below their average and State is a little above theirs.

What happened in 2014 will never happen again.

Back when we had something to look forward to on Saturdays. Now it's just blankly staring at the tv while the game is on because you just can't believe it's this crappy.
