I dont understand all the love goin to Ole Miss and people lookin for them to win the SEC west next year. They had a good season, beatin NC Florida and winning their bowl game against Texas Tech. But they were 8-4 in the regular season.

Losing to:
Wake Forest
Vandy
South Carolina
Alabama

LSU and Auburn had horrible seasons that no one could have predicted, Ole Miss capitalized on their bad season. But with out Auburn and LSU having these type of seasons (LSU/Auburn will be back this season, too much talent on both teams) Ole Miss is lookin at a "6" win season!!!! I just dont understand all the hype and love Ole Miss is getting. Great Bowl win, but just proved to me that the big 12 doesnt have SEC caliber defenses, but Tech still put up 38pts. Their suck arse defense just couldnt stop Ole Piss.

Auburn is looking at a "6" win season.

The west is wide open, anyone could end up in Atlanta. Im not saying that we will. We need to continue to build our program.

Saban turned yalls program around, hopefully Nutt can do the same for ours... Arkansas fans in 3, 2, 1....

Not bragging just stating the obvious. LSU fans are ones I've come to realize that no matter how bad they may get beat, you still suck.

It is the "Hootie Mystique"....since there are 5 dictionaries in the state of Mississippi I have listed below the definiton of Mystique.

n. 1. An aura of reverence or mystery stemming from feelings of high value or interest or meaning surrounding a person or thing; as, the Kennedy mystique.
2. The aura of mystery surrounding the esoteric knowledge and skills required in certain occupations, or the power of those possessing those skills; as, the mystique of the astrophysicists

Not sayin Ole Miss sucks, just dont get all the hype after a 4 loss season. Ole Miss beat LSU straight up. But my god, Moo state went up and down the field on LSU. Matter of fact, who didnt move up and down the field on LSU this year( besides Ga tech) Our Co Dummies were horrible.

They scored 34... but our defense only gave up 27 (Snead pick for six).

We held Tech's offense well under their average, even with the pick for six counting against us, only Oklahoma held Tech to less points than Ole Miss the entire season... that included a garbage time TD by Tech in the 4th quarter.

Further proving my point about that not being such a big win in my eyes, bc big 12 doenst have SEC caliber Defenses! So their offensive stats are hyped up.

They could put up numbers in the SEC. They wouldn't be 11-1, but they would be pretty solid and score points. Their defense was subpar.

TX Tech probably would put up 40+ on your weak secondary, IMO.

So we're so sure that LSU's new D coordinator and QB will be great after one game?

We're so sure that Chizik's offense is going to bring Auburn back this year?

Alright bstew, if you don't buy Ole Miss next year, who do you think will win the West? If Ole Miss is over-hyped because they lost four regular season games, keep in mind that LSU lost five. And you'll notice something about Ole Miss' losses. They were all in the first half of the season. They were also the only team to beat Florida, and one of two teams (Oklahoma) to beat Texas Tech.

Well said. We had some "bad" early season losses, but all of our losses were to bowl teams (unlike LSU).

We deserve to be considered with Bama and LSU as contenders in the West.

If anything pre-season ranks have told me, LSU is being overhyped, IMO.

good point papamac, LSU lost regular season games so how in the world do they think they can contend for the west?

Your logic makes no sense, your saying its Bama's all the way no matter what, cancel the season.

Then you weren't watching the Ole Miss games this year(apparently you had your hands over your eyes for the total demolition at Tiger Stadium). This team took some games to gel together (They began 3-4), but once they did they played lights out and won six in a row. Expect even better next year.

Your wins against the SEC are a lot more impressive than the win against Big 12 team. Big 12 got exposed big time in the bowl games for the fraud that they were all year.

However, to say the Ole Miss doesn't deserve the hype is just LSU fans not accepting the truth. Ole Miss lost their games early (new system, coach and QB) and improved as the year went on. Virtually everyone is coming back. They will be good next year.
