There are a few red herrings here. The biggest one is the QB position. Corral will start and Plumlee will have packages. If Corral gets hurt, I think we will see Renfro in with Plumlee packages.

The OL depth chart is also out of sorts. Most of the #2 guys are starters elsewhere along the line. If Broeker gets hurt, Newman will slide over to LT and Acker/Warren will play RT. If Ben Brown gets hurt, Jeremy James will slide over to center and Cunningham will play RG.

Defensively, obviously the two transfers will start with Reese at FS and Leonard at CB over Hawkins once approved.

I think Ole Miss will field two decent starting units this year but there's little to no depth on either side outside of RB and LB.

What's the deal with JRP? That kid was loved by announcers last year like he was the next big thing.

Matt Coral just has a way better arm. It’s not really close. JRP is exciting because of his speed, he was a freshman, and a double sport athlete. So JRP is just more exciting to watch for me, plus Corral didn’t exactly have the best season last year.

Ole Miss couldn't pass protect last year, the WR's couldn't get open, and our QB with the decent arm got hurt. Rich Rod reverted to doing what he was comfortable with and what made sense to the team: Read option offense which let Plumlee's legs shine and kept him from exposing his noodle arm too much.

Rich Rod is gone.

Parrish must've looked really good to be up there with Ealy. Also, MoMo been hurt or just lost his job?

MoMo lost a little bit of a step with the injury but it's really more of a condition of Jones playing well. MoMo will play a lot and is still a leader on this team.

Ok good. Definitely wanted that leadership out there.

Yeah I’m excited to see Parrish mixed in with Ealy.

Kinda surprised that Clowney’s name isn’t mentioned. Must be really undersized.

I'm shocked to see Parrish over Snoop. Either Parrish is showing out like a freak, or Snoop is hurt.

Corral is the starter but there’s no real reason to name him. Make Mullen prepare for a heavy dose of Plumlee even if he’s not the starter.

I think we'll still see a solid mix of Snoop. He has size and strength that Ealy and Parrish don't have and he blocks well and catches well out of the backfield. Clowney always needed a year or two to put on weight but he's also missed some time with an injury.
