A Bama fan taking up for refs? Shocked

Why is different for running back than a receiver? All a running back has to do is break the plane of the goal for 1/2 second and it’s a touchdown.

It's not a question of whether he was in the endzone. It's a question of whether he caught the ball. After watching it several times there was never a point where you could say he had secured the catch. If he had just tucked the ball we wouldn't be having this conversation

He tucked it.
His butt hit he ground.
Back hit the ground.
Arm outstretched
DB grabbed bal while he was laying in endzone
It was a catch

This. It's pretty simple.

It’s different because the rule is literally different for those two circumstances

Irrelevant

The ball was moving around in his hand the entire time and then the defender pulled it completely loose

He was robbed, bad rule, worse review decision.

Just saying this makes it obvious that you haven’t watched the play.

looked more like an interception to me.

Agree it wasn’t a catch imho..he dropped 3 balls in last 5 min of game btw and looking Treadwellish to me unfortunately

defenders feet were out if bounds, no way it could have been an int, but with poor officiating, who knows?

I've seen it several times. He began to pull the ball down like he was going to tuck it but then outstretched his arm for some reason (likely because he was still trying to get control of it)

I hate ole miss, but it was a catch. He secured the ball, got his feet on the ground, had his knee on the ground, had his butt on the ground, and fell on his back. Between his arse hitting ground and falling on his back it started to bobble, but it should have been a completion on all the previous steps. I guess you have to make it to the locker room to rule a completion.

You can argue that it is a bad rule, but the rule was followed. In no way was it a bad review decision.

This would be my position on things. That last TD, catch or not, is inconsequential. He dropped the winning TD in regulation....right in his hands.

No catch. The review indicates as much.
