“With a road trip to Arkansas State on Tuesday and a home series with Texas A&M left before Hoover, Ole Miss needs to take a page from the Aggies.“
Side note: Schloss said yesterday that 6 or 7 coaches, some from SEC, called him to talk about how they wanted to cancel midweek games of their own vs weak RPI teams.

This is weak.
Imagine if this was done in football.
Cancelling a game with GA southern so you can keep your SOS intact.

The problem is how RPI is calculated. You should not be punished for wins at any point in time, that’s incredibly dumb.

Agree. You don't get enough credit for good wins, while bad losses sandbag you pretty badly. It's like a credit score.
You should always win your way into things.

Every team is playing under the same RPI system. A&M is the only one trying to manipulate the system. Don't schedule these games if you don't want to play them. Not playing a scheduled game is bullshite.

Actually, IW wanted the game cancelled as much as A&M. They start their tournament this week. And you might as well manipulate the RPI if possible. In the future, don't expect A&M to have anyone scheduled this week under Schloss.
