Ole Miss, I hope you guys enjoy Birmingham.

eh...Hoover and the surrounding areas aren't bad. If I had to stay, I stay there and find something to do. If I do go, I'll just drive up and back home in the same day. I'll enjoy the game.

We'd probably send 20 K or more to Nashville and 25 K or more to ATL invited. Jacksonville is a tad bit far for a team that played there just 2 years ago and finished the season on a downward spiral. We'd might even send couple of hundred to the Bham shite bowl, if we were selected, fwiw.

We seemed to travel pretty well both years to Dallas. Why can't State fans travel well to Jacksonville? You can't use that excuse.

This is the problem I think y'all have. I remember being excited to be at Jerry World for the Cotton Bowl in '09 but it just didn't feel as exciting as the Tech game was the year before. I think that was because you guys kind of rained on our parade and we were still kind of "off" because of the Egg Bowl.

Still took a shite ton of people though and our side sold out of beer for the second year in a row at a different venue.

They always die of dysentery on long trips and waste too much time shooting things.

State fans are literally poor.

I don't like stereotypes but this is fact.

Which is why it was dumb for their fans to talk about how Jacksonville was sooooo much better than Birmingham. They're not even going!

Have fun driving 12 hours to watch your team lose. The rest of us will be just a short drive up the road from Meridian watching the Rebs beat the piss out of Pitt (in a terrible stadium in the ghetto - whatever).

It's only like a 9hr drive to Jacksonville. It's not as far as State fans are making it out to be.

We wanted bigger and better than Jacksonville. Didn't happen and didn't deserve it. Been there done that. Like Henry said in his post above. Definitely not much incentive after the way our season finished.

That's great news. It will nice to have a good SEC fan base in bham. The last few years up here have been pretty bad

Good point!

Yeah, one team is at a bowl game for the third year in a row playing in Jacksonville.

The other is 6-6 playing in Birmingham.

Exactly. Your ceiling is the Gator Bowl under Merlinz. In the humpback's fourth year, he had his arse handed to him by a girl's basketball coach in charge of a team fresh off of a 2-10 season.

Yeah, y'all are in such great fricking shape right now.

No, I'll sit my happy arse on my couch or chair and watch the Dogs in a New Years Day Bowl for the 2nd time in 3 years.
