I think JRP is an electric talent, but Corral is probably going to be better suited for Kiffin. I would figure out a way to get them both on the field if it were me. It could be a scary change of pace.

Johnny Rice needs to have the ball in his hands as much as possible.

OM should just run the read option on every play. I watched three Ole Miss games last year and JRP was devastating with the read option.

Plumlee is a great running back.

If one QB and system isn't working, we will just switch to the other one. We can strike from any direction, at any time.

Basically: SEC fricked.

We’re going to do the Ole Miss thing and get JRP about three plays a game. He’ll be a decoy on two of them and the third we’ll do something cute and try to trick you into thinking he’ll get the ball on like a triple reverse pass and have JRP throw instead.

Honestly, I agree. The main reason it's not going to happen is recruiting. But OM has some very good athletes in the backfield that could support running a read option type offense each play. Now, obviously, the best defenses will be able to slow it down or downright stop it, but it would be very fun to watch outside of that.

Corrall will get the start but JRP will be in the game in some capacity.. no idea what that means but Kiffin isn’t going to build his offense and recruiting around a run first QB. Fans expect JRP to take some type of T. Hill roll like the saints have but no idea if that will actually happen. Practices have been closed so we have no idea what to expect.

Word on the street is he can’t catch worth a shite which doesn’t make a whole lot of sense to me but who knows.

JRP sucks as a QB and should play time at RB or take direct snaps in some special packages. I'm not a fan of a QB that can't hit a target the size of a barn.

Corral didn't look good last season because his coach sucked arse and they didn't try to develop him. With the right coaching, Corral can be at least as serviceable as Bo Wallace.

Maybe Kiffiekins has checked to see if Rice can tackle.

The battle is overhyped. Matt Corral will start and Plumlee may see some gimmick packages. I don't believe Plumlee is even the primary back-up.

last 2 scrimmages they are both throwing tons of interceptions...offense has been garbage...as of today no starter named...guessing Corral starts and if he sucks then JRP / probably back and forth until one wins it in real games

and I agree with other OM posters - JRP can't throw for sheet

Corral has twice the arm talent Bo Wallace thought about having. Just needs mechanics work and an O-line that can pass block worth a shite.

I can’t think of a better way to turn Arch Manning off than by running a Rich Rodriguez style read option offense.

The fact that Luke threw Corral to the wolves and did not even try to fix his mechanics, pissed me off with Luke more than anything. He was absolutely clueless as a head coach. Damn! I'm so glad he is gone.

I've never seen this strategy work. It throws the entire team off. It's better to stay consistent and if you have to bench your starter, you do it very reservedly.

I have seen the latter work, where a poor playing QB has a breakout game and then they are serviceable following that.

As a LSU fan, I want JRP as the far far away WR as the sidelines will allow. He embarrassed us last year.
