Orgeron has admitted multiple times he wasn't a good coach at Ole Miss

Winning a NC at LSU is a tad easier than at Ole Miss.

Orgeron was 0-3 vs. Arky while he was in Oxford. That shows how shitty of a coach he was back then.

How you feeling today Henry? You were quite animated last night when LSU started slowly.

Also, WORTH IT

Failing at Ole Miss was one of the greatest lessons for O to learn from.

He was the shiftiest coach we’ve ever had. That’s really impressive

True, and a being able to learn from that is what made him in to a coach of the year and national championship coach. I thought he was pretty much a doofus at Ole Miss, but what has impressed me about him is his willingness to change and grow. He is far more intelligent than people realize, just packaged a bit differently.

The version of Ed O we hired was arguably the worst coaching hire in Ole Miss history, and one of the worst in SEC history probably.

His only saving grace during his OM tenure was his work ethic and eye for talent. He was a dumpster in every other capacity.

I feel like it's been so long most Ole Miss fans are blase about his success @ LSU in present time - he's like a completely different person now

He was just surrounded by too many beta males and cucks to succeed at Ole Miss. It was sad to see a man with so much testosterone like Coach O get ran out of town because he didn’t conform with soy cucks.

I didn't know that he coached at Mizzou.

FYI, he had over a dozen future NFL players, multiple pro bowlers and first round draft picks on a team that went 3-9 (0-8).

It's crazy how much better of a coach he is than he was at Ole Miss. Dude knew he had to change and did it.

This. I don't think we will ever hire a coach that worked as hard or wanted to win as much as Orgeron did.

Also, if anyone needs an example for why Cutcliffe was fired, he had Patrick fricking Willis playing as a tight end. Orgeron came in and was like "uh, no. You're a linebacker"

I have a buddy that hates Orgeron because the first team meeting he had, one of the first things he said was "All of the walk-ons, stand up. Alright, get the frick out. You're not on this team anymore"

huh?

Willis never played TE. The knock on Cucltiffe was that Willis was playing behind some slow white dude and not starting. Not that he was playing TE
