Ole Miss Expectations vs. Results - Word?

Not trolling here, it is a sincere question. Also, if this has already been discussed, please refer me to the post.
At the beginning of the season and well into it around week 7, expectations were NCS run, at the very least a spot in the playoffs. Now sitting at 9-3 there must be a feeling of disappointment or lost opportunity. What you say Ole Miss faithful?

I anticipated a 10-2 year with losses at LSU and at A&M. There are a lot of what-ifs but it's about what I expected so I'm cool with it. The Arkansas game was just a shitstorm of bad breaks that you come to expect as an Ole Miss fan. Next year has always been the year we invade buttholes.

There were no NCS expectations at the beginning of the season.
Hopefully, we'll playing a Big 12 school in a bowl that's not the "Texas Bowl."

The overwhelming majority of our posters predicted us to go 9-3 this season, bitch.
Obviously, we're disappointed we beat ourselves in Baton Rouge and experienced the single most heartbreaking play in SEC history. However, we beat two top ten teams, restored order within the Magnolia State, and have a chance at ten wins.
Remember, we went 2-10 in 2011. Hugh is building a great program here and everyone knows it.

I predicted us to go 8-4 so I would call this a successful season.

No argument, just heard (not on this board) social circles in Nashville this was the year for NCS run.
Agreed on Freeze, he is the real deal. Should have a bright future with him.
Thanks

I think I predicted 8-4. So a little above what I expected to happen.

We deserved to lose to LSU (we were outplayed, Bo went full retard and LSU made the big plays at the crucial moments)
We should've won the Auburn game, but luck wasn't in our favor. Luck is need to make a legit championship run (Auburn last year, FSU this year, etc)
We didn't show up to the Arkansas game and were dominated from the opening kick-off.
Taking those losses into account as well as the big wins this year (both at home with bama and state as well as big performances on the road at A&M) and beating above average OOC opponents in Boise State, Memphis and ULL, I am very pleased with the year we had and the direction we are going in as a program. Freeze needs to improve his playcalling, but there's no doubt the guy can recruit his arse off and get his teams to play up for big games.

I was expecting 10-2 with losses to Auburn and Arkansas. LSU was a rage loss for me. Arky I knew was the classic "We Are Ole Miss" loss of the season. I had a feeling we'd beat Bama and State though.

This is just false. Simple as that. No OM fans were "expecting" a playoff run to start the season. We were calling anywhere from 8-4 to 10-2 depending on a nega or posi Reb. Any team by that started the season like we did and knocking off #1 Bama would begin to have playoff hopes.
Any fan disappointed with 9-3 (especially OM fans) need to check themselves. Losing to State would have put a damper on the season but pulling that off was huge for the season (im not afraid to admit it)
But we have a chance for a playoff committee bowl, 10 wins, and finishing in the Top 10. So no I am not disappointed

No there wasn't
Most predicted anywhere from 8-4 to 10-2. Sitting at 9-3 I'd call it a successful season with plenty of room to improve. We're still a long way from peaking but continue to improve year by year syncing HF areived

We were preseason 18th and about to be ranked in the top 10 playing in a major New Year's Day Bowl 3 seasons removed from 2-10. Ole Miss fans are thrilled with this season and the trajectory of our program.

Compared to beginning of season expectations, this is a great year. Compared to expectations when we were ranked No. 3 and 7-0, it's a little disappointing. But compared to expectations after Arkansas disaster--thrilled. Overall, happy with beating the only two teams ranked No. 1 in the CFP rankings (State and Bama), being in the SEC and playoff hunt until the next to last game of the year and feeling like we can compete with anyone.
