When was the last time a team was so lopsided with their talent? OM offense has NFL talent everywhere, yet no one on defense belongs on a SEC roster...seriously, how does this happen? And what was the last SEC team this unbalanced?

Florida...for nine years

This basically describes every big 12 team (and Texas A&M when they first joined the league... now both sides of the ball just suck).

If the imbalance weren't so prominent already, now we've lost Jaylon Jones for the rest of the season.

But that is literally the Big 12 formula...very unusual for the SEC...and those years UF struggled on offense and had a sick D don't count...why, you ask? Because even when the UF offense sucked, they still had talent...

Freeze tried to recruit blue chip LBs, but for some reason none of them signed with Ole Miss, so we were reduced to taking a graduate transfer from Oregon State. Did the bagmen spend all their money on other positions?

Since you are stuck with lopsided which would you prefer,? Elite offense with terrible defense or elite defense with terrible offense? Just curious.

Good question...I choose offense...Rebs ain't gonna make real noise either way, but with offense at least it's exciting...

Ole Miss, pretty much every year since Freeze was hired?
It all started with Nutt signing those 20 RBs just to pad his recruit rankings

Didn't tOSU win a natty with elite defense and humdrum offense? vs. Miami in the BCS?

Not to nitpick, but 2014 Rebel defense was stout. That’s the exception though.

What's funny is every time they explain the landshark mascot they say "inspired by their trademark brand of defense"

The final was 10-7.
Congrats on finding the single highlight from the game.

Like I said. The final was 10-7.
Thank you for finding a gif of the final and proving op’s point. That was a strong defensive unit in 2014.
