I guess I respect his stance, but if I'm a coach, especially a new one that is trying to develop new recruiting ties, I'd leave politics out of the public's eye when I can.

Old white guy that knows saying this ridiculous shite will gain him favor with the rednecks of his state. Too dumb to know it will have the opposite effect on many recruits.
