Found this in a box of old stuff in the attic. Should I keep this?

If it’s from 1971 why are Tulane and Tech listed?

Sorry Aggy and Misery. This is an exclusive club.

Ga. Tech left in 1963 and Tulane left in 1966, so this has to be before 1963.

Was Florida known as FU then?

Looks like a placemat company didn’t know who the members of the SEC were in 1971.

Georgia Tech with a strong block T.

Charley Shira is listed as State’s coach, so the 1971 date is correct. No idea why Tulane and GT are there

You could get those in boxes of Sugar Smacks back in ‘70

This is a better 12-team SEC than the 1992 bullshite.

So, whoever made this was pretty sloppy about who actually was in the conference then. Probably got an older document and just printed 1971 on it. I really liked Tulane being in the league. Everyone loved to go to New Orleans for those away games.

I am trying to remember where we used to get those placemats from.
GT still played many SEC back in the late 60's and Tulane too.
Remember Maimi and FSU are want to be back then, these are the South big teams.
GT was a power house for many years, Tulane gave up on football in the mid 30's. Tulane was a power back in the 20's early 30's.

1971 was the year Coach Bryant switched to the wishbone. Lost the National Title to Nebraska that year

You don’t need it. I’ll give you an address and I will dispose of it properly
