Boo fricking boo. Auburn would’ve had to beat Georgia, Alabama, then Georgia again last year before that playoff would’ve even started for them.

Three observations from watching the game;
1 - Was shocked at how effective the Bama running game was and yet they did not stick with it and force Clemson to stop them. I honestly believe Bama could have won if they had not aired it out. Mind boggling.
2 - Bama DL contained the Clemson run. That is to be expected. It is their bread and butter, in my opinion the key to their success under CNS. But they could not get penetration against the Clemson passing game. Never have seen a team control the Bama DL like that. Very little pressure applied against TL.
3 - We joke about the Bama kicking game but wow, just wow. What was that fake FG all about? That spelled the end for Bama.

A former Clemson player tweeted that he talked to the Clemson staff and that whole theory is bull. I am sure every team used their extended group of analysts to look at the other two teams.

Wow, apparently this is the new Bama talking point. Multiple posts about it.
I thought Bama was above this but apparently anyone will make ridiculous excuses upon losing.
It's especially funny coming from a team that had the luxury of skipping the SEC championship TWICE on their way to the playoffs/championship. And when people pointed that little tidbit out they said it was a lame excuse.
Let's just forget about the fact that there was a whole month between the SEC championship and playoff game, and Bama could've devoted time to Clemson knowing they were gonna beat ND. Actually I'm almost positive Saban did just that, and they have plenty of scouting info on Clemson considering they've played 4 years in a row.
But keep making excuses. How does it feel to finally get that big prententious smile slapped off your face?
