Agree but it is so hard to tell anymore in these bowl games with so many players out on both sides. I hate what bowl games have become with transfers and opt outs.
We do seem to have an excitement and toughness we haven't seen recently.
BTW, hate that rule that took the TD away from us. The receiver had his helmet ripped off as he was breaking free for the TD. Wish they would revisit and allow the play to continue until a defender gets within a halo area. Shouldn't be able to reward a team for a facemask / helmet rip off.
I get it that you can't allow the play to continue where the helmet-less player can get hit but some type of halo area would work.

He’s a good coach obviously but may be an exaggeration considering he’s only been with the team maybe a few weeks. Doubt he just transformed this entire team and style of play over night

Not sure the total players OU is down, but I know they are missing 6 starters on the Defensive front seven (3 DLine & 3 LBs), and 3 starters on Offense (2 WR's and TE). Either way, anyone who has watched this team all year could tell you there is a difference in the attitude, effort and coaching.
The real sign will be the second half, FULR had absolutely no killer instinct and never had a lead he couldn't squander. Let's see if the intensity continues.

This is more old school football than Reily ran. OU is physical right now in the trench. That has not been a characteristic of OU.
