Not happening...this is the SEC's move to be THE conference after taking the reigns and saving college football last season...this will be another nail in the coffin of the NCAA who is dying a slow death...

Yahoo Sports' Pete Thamel reports that "getting 11 of the 14 votes doesn't appear to be an issue" if Texas and Oklahoma ultimately do want to join the SEC.

The fact that there hasn't been a single word from the SEC, despite the presidents meeting today, means this is 100% happening. I'm quite impressed with how well they have this locked down, honestly.

It’s remarkable how quiet this all went down. This looks like a done deal and we just found out yesterday. Incredible in 2021.

I wondering if this is thanks to the rona normalizing video calls. Less plane flights that involve the parties enter the same building suspiciously .

if this happens I don’t see any way this waits till 2025. A deal is struck to make it happen quicker. Playing 3 seasons in a conference you are publically leaving isn’t good for anybody.
