Again, stats in College Football is comparing apples to oranges. Big 10 Defenses have sucked and so has the SECE Offenses.

So is your point we have no idea if any unit on any team is good?

But you all pretend the 40-17 game didn't happen.

Every time I watched one of their games they would break a long TD on their opponent. It would make me sick, so I would turn the game off!

No it makes it a lot sweeter, knowing 28-7 happened when it mattered.

FIFY

You need to get over it. It's done. You can point to your win all you want, but that did not end the season. Breathe deep and move on.

What you can't seem to grasp is that we would let Auburn beat us every year 40-17, if it meant we won the SEC and went to the playoffs.

But we all know you will choke it away some how. It has been going on for 35+ years now, why put yourself thru the humiliation ?

Your point was based on statistics, but stats have very little to due with head to head comparisons in College Football. Not only does it very from league to league, it varies from Division to Division in the SEC. Throw in the OOC schedules and you really have muddied water.

It did but it means less than nothing at this point. And you know it.

So your logic is the only wins that count are from those Playoff teams wins only. I know Bama fans do not count the AU loss this year or the Ole Miss loses or LSU (2011), and A&M 2012, and Clemson last year. But they are in the record books.

Thanks for sharing.

Comparing the OU offense minus the OU defense versus the UGA offense minus the UGA defense:

UGA is better at 10 yards (6.2 more times to 5.8 for OU)

OU is better at 20 yards (3.4 more times to 3.0 for UGA)

UGA is better at 30 yards (1.6 more times to 1.3 for OU)

OU is better at 40 yards (1.0 more times to 0.6 for UGA)

Both are even at 50 yards at 0.6 more times than their opponent.

Funny.

You can argue that they may not be quite as good or bad as their stats show. But I think it's pretty silly to argue that we have no idea whether Oklahoma is explosive or Georgia' defense is good at slowing explosion. Is Oklahoma the best at it? Perhaps not. Are they really just not very good at it? That'd be.........pretty silly.

Not arguing either, but I think it is silly when people use stats to try a prove a point in College Football.
