So you don’t have the same struggles than Aggie with their urban myths and sad coping with actual results.
1.Texas does not have more money for athletics than the big dogs in the SEC.
2. Texas talent is no better than anywhere else in the south, actually it may not be as good as other areas.
About the first point you may have more revenue around 10-25%; that is not significant. Many companies with lesser sales can be more profitable. For a company to be in position to just outspend their competition they have to bring in 10 or 20 times more cash and you are nowhere near that; and that if it’s only one competitor. There are 6 or 7 real alpha males in this conference that have the money and the championships to back it up. Aggie is not one of them; they’ve had no impact in actual results. None. It took COVID and other teams taking the season off to have one solid no championship season.
About the second point just look at the history of college football, especially the last 30 years or so. There’s more evidence Texas talent may be behind other places than it being superior so just STFU with that.
So here you’ll be a second tier 4+ L team most seasons like your queer little brother. Not that you aren't used to that. Other than that welcome to The SEC.

Most of us are as self-loathing as Cowboys fans. We know it's a dysfunctional organization, we suck, and we're just hoping one day it will stop.
In the meantime we might as well be entertained with one helluva schedule. Getting the A&M game back and trading Baylor, TCU, Iowa State, and Kansas State for SEC schools is where the excitement comes from.

You want me to say it? I'll say it. Texas will never lose an SEC game.

I've been on here for years and done my fair share of trolling.

We are also disfunctional AF.

As a cowboy fan I’ll allow it

You aren’t going to preempt Texas bragging about money, but ten years in I am starting to believe you on the Texas talent thing.
What is unique about last years team is Jimbo has been recruiting heavily outside the state. I think our success last year has a lot to do with that (and not COVID fricking up what was a dream schedule for us).

TBF he did the equivalent of an LSU fan saying you went 5-5

maybe not, but those figures are significantly off and not in support of your narrative

yeah, you don't have any business starting this convo. AD's are non profits & the goal is to spend every penny you can with consideration to maintain a certain cash reserve.

It's evidence Texas and it's state peers have done a poor job capitalizing on the state's talent pool, but the NFL draft history sure displays "raving reviews"
None of which means anything with NIL in play.

You have reading comprehension problems. But I expected that.

The problem isn't the talent, the problem is retaining it.

I threw in a few barbs in there just for fun. A&M was a legit good team last year. There are signs of a program that is developing players and has a solid foundation.
I also don't think Texas talent isn't good at all; just not better or even relatively slightly below other areas. Texans believe if they only pick the best in their state they can push around other good rosters and that is far from the truth.
The money thing again is relative. If you have a pretty nice BMW and I have say an Audi just a few hundred dollars more bragging like that car is a 25 seat private jet is absurd. There are no significant differences in the spending capabilities of the top 6-8 SEC Programs; even with Texas in the mix.
