Smoke and mirrors. Have only played 2 ranked teams (#20-21) and needed OT to win against Purdont for frick sakes.

I really don't know where they would be but this has been a weird season overall. Defense has been inconsistent but mostly awful, and we are very fortunate to be undefeated. Very fortunate. Most Buckeye fans are disappointed that they can't play in a bowl but I honestly think it's helped motivate the team and keep them loose. It seems strange but if we were eligible I see us with at least 2 losses.
I seem to remember everyone saying how A&M and Missouri would get steam rolled in the SEC this year, and I was one that believed it. However, these 2 mediocre Big 12 teams are now "competing" in their first year and it's not a stretch to say they are doing better than they would have in the Big 12. The Big 12 has been a more competitive conference top to bottom IMO while the SEC is more top heavy. The argument that playing in the SEC is so difficult doesn't hold water when you draw a favorable schedule, play a shitty OOC schedule and only play a couple of the big boys ('Bama this year). A&M is excelling in spite of their schedule.
Also, the argument that tOSU has squeaked by several opponents is moot. LSU narrowly beat Auburn and Arky...2 bad SEC teams yet had 'Bama on the ropes. That doesn't mean LSU sucks...they still won those games which is all that matters. And to say that tOSU is undefeated in a shitty conference, while true, is also moot. There are a lot of shitty conferences yet only tOSU and ND are undefeated.
As other posters have said, tOSU's success in the SEC would all depend on their schedule. I would guess 10-2 or 9-3 this year.

I don't know, but Bama is pretty lucky they chose to play in the Gator Bowl last year or all the dynasty talk would be even dumber.

If they weren't on probation, they'd likely be ranked #1 in the BCS poll which seems to always give the Big 10 the benefit of the doubt - meaning if they win today it would have been a OSU/ND BCSCG.
Could they beat the best of the SEC? History says no.
