#2 as of now. If they and ND win still #2

This year? I think so. Are there any 'great' teams in the SEC? The conference as a whole is stronger than anyone else and I doubt tOSU would be undefeated but they would be just as competitive for ATL as anyone else I think.

Probably second in the BCS because the human polls will mostly have them at 2nd, but I bet their computer numbers would be horrible.

Middle of the road sec team. Their offense would struggle badly against the better SEC defenses and their defense would get pushed around badly.

They've played a lot of bad teams close though. I think Hankins would be a force sure, and Miller would be decent on offense, but I don't see them getting past 8 wins assuming they would play Bama, LSU, USCe, and UGA. Plus UF. It would just depend on the schedule I suppose.

I see what you are saying but they wouldn't play the top 6 teams. Let's say half and they win 1 or 2. I think they could be a 10 or 11 win team. But with the wrist slap they got considering their HC just sat there and lied, I hope they go 12-0, finish #2 in AP, and say woulda, shoulda, coulda for 10 years.

I saw this elsewhere and I agree with it: Does anyone else think that the Buckeyes winning the AP and Bama winning the BCS would be awesome if they were 1 and 2 all year (think 05 with Texas and USCw) next season and met in the Rose Bowl for the Final BCSCG? As strong as the SEC is this year, it'll be stronger next year. If Bama walks out 13-0 and tOSU can go 13-0 would it be more hyped than the 05 game? Saban vs Meyer again.

If they won our they would 100% be 2 at worst
Not saying they good but they are the Ohio state. You are a fool if you don't think the non-sec nation would have them up there

The Big 10 is really down right now. They're a big fish in a very small pond.
Their SoS should have them down around #5 in the BCS poll. The computers would hate them as much as we already do.

They would be right there with ND. They would go before any SEC team currently. 1 loss SEC teams wouldn't jump tOSU.

I would put Bama and LSU as probable losses. After that, depending on the schedule, they could lose to any and all of UF, A&M, USC, and UGA. No way they could play the top 6 but I see them at 11-1 at best with 8-4 at worst.

They'd be #1 or #2 right now, as they are undefeated.
Man, that has gotta be pissing some buckeye fans off to no end, Jim Tressel fricked them out of a national championship game without even being there. Ah well, couldn't happen to a nicer bunch (and that was not pass interference in the endzone in the NC game against Miami)

My dad went to OSU and I have family in Ohio. So I like Ohio State football but too answer your question, NO. They have a great QB but other than that the team has not played any top 10 teams that I recall. They have also benefitted from a down BIG 10 this year. Overall they are not as good as everyone thinks. Without Braxton Miller they don't come anywhere close to 11-0. Good Luck OSU and beat Michigan.

FWIW, that can be said about a number of teams and a single player. A&M - Manziel (possibly, Showers looks to be a decent backup), KSU - Klein, Baylor - Nick Florence (without him, they'd have 0 wins), NIU - Jordan Lynch, etc.

Depends. Are we talking Georgia schedule? Or LSU schedule?

Or Tennessee's schedule. Damn!

The BIG is way down this year. However I still think OSU would be number 2 in the BCS. However I still think Notre Dame would beat them in a head to head matchup and so would the top 6 in the SEC and Oregon.

No.
Smoke and mirrors. Have only played 2 ranked teams (#20-21) and needed OT to win against Purdont for frick sakes.

Yeah but who the frick in the SEC plays those 5 teams???? oh yeah none. That's the thing. It depends on who's SEC schedule we're talking about. You can have Bama or UGA's schedule and play 2 ranked SEC teams or you can have Mizzouri's SEC schedule and play USCe, UF, UGA, Bama, and A&M.
IF OSU had UGA's schedule i'd say they'd either be 11-1 or 10-2.
