Track and Field: John McDonnell (Arkansas). 40 National Championships. 5 NCAA triple crowns. That's more than any coach in any sport in the history of college athletics.
Tell me who's the best baseball coach ever, or the best women's basketball coach ever.

The best NFL coach of all-time is Belichick (Lombardi, Bill Walsh, and Chuck Noll close behind), and the best college football coach is Nick Saban (with Bear Byrant close behind)

The best NCAA basketball coach ever is Wooden. Phog Allen and Adolph Rupp are innovators, but Wooden's run with 10 titles will never be matched.

Rod Dedeaux was a pretty good coach as well.
USC was a giant in the 60's and 70's that we will probably never ever see again in College Baseball.

Hugo Bezdek coached football, basketball and baseball for the Hogs. Did the same at Oregon and later became the football coach then athletic director for Penn State.
Then he went into the NFL and coached for Cleveland and later coached big leagues baseball for Pittsburg.
