Bielema with Paul Chryst was a very good staff. Bielema without Chryst just went 7-5 with 10 or 11 win talent.

While you're right, they did lose 3OT games this year. That's a lot of unlucky bounces. If things had gone just a bit differently, he'd have another 10 win season

This is the question. On paper it is a strong hire but this is the same guy that thought CUM was to aggressive.

He is in for an eye opening experience.

Not even you can be this dumb. Wisconsin had major staff turnover. Chryst took 4 Wisky assistants with him and they lost a NFL starting QB, and 3 or 4 OL to the NFL draft and then they fired their OL coach after two games this year.

They didn't have a 11 win team this year after what happened, they overachieved quite frankly.

This came as a surprise to me...but I do feel schools are getting the message that a power run game + hard nose defense wins SEC rings. The problem I feel that Arkansas poses for their new head coach is recruiting the right talent and ejnough of it that the natives dont get restless in year two.

Boom has turnede around UF in 2 yrs...but he also is sitting pretty in a state with tons of high school talent and a war chest of $$ to do battle bringing in asst coaches to help him. Arkie doesnt have that luxury and if you are in the SEC west you will be facing three powerful foes, Bama LSU & A&M and that doesnt include the eastern division foes they face in 2013...like UF in the Swamp...plus the rebuilding Ole Miss, AU & then MSU as an added worry. Killers row is what SEC teams face year after year. If Arkie can make through the third year of this change then...pigs may fly indeed...because I was always impressed by Wisconsin's blue collar ethic work habits. Just fundemental block & tackle first.

That is a great hire, period. Especially coming any BCS conference in a state that produces less in-state talent than Kentucky.

68-24 record
3 straight Big 10 titles
3 straight BCS bowls(rose)
2010 & 2011 National coach of the year finalist
Over 3k rush yards in 2012
Over 3k pass yards in 2011

We went a week listening to how Bo jackson and Pat Sullivan were going too hit a "grandslam" with this hire (with all their connections) and this is what they come up with? Hate to think what they would have done if they hadn't had them two on their side.

LOLing at you for thinking this "committee" was anything other than a sham. There is a reason Trooper and Luper haven't quit recruiting for AU. They'll be hired by Malzahn within 48 hours.

our coach has a hotter wife than most of the strippers I know up here. We should be fine.
