has signed a new deal per Brandon Marcello

quote:

AUBURN, Alabama — Auburn coach Gus Malzahn is staying at Auburn, a source familiar with the situation tells Auburn Undercover.

Malzahn has agreed to a deal that will keep him at Auburn after overtures from Arkansas. The numbers are not yet clear, but the deal will stretch at least five years and could include a raise to as much as $7 million, the source said.

Gosh damn this is the best football feeling I’ve had in years. I feel like a playoff contender!

If you’re fricking around I will haunt you.

Well, that's about one million dollars per point against Georgia. What if that field goal had not been blocked?

I'm just glad we're staying out of the 14-26 million range.

This is silly you were once turned down by the coach at Wake Forest and Rich Rod before Saban fell in your lap. Hiring a CFB coach is a crap shoot and the new recruiting deadline makes it even riskier. Gus has shown growth done more than all but 2 existing SEC coaches...blame Florida paying Merlin and A&M paying Jimbo.

I've been saying I think he gets 6 to 6.5 mil a year. I comfortable with that. The market is skyrocketing in pay and that will look like a fair deal for both sides over the next several years.

If Malzahn gets 7 million/year our administration is dumber than I thought they they were.

Suddenly Jimbo’s 7.5 million a year doesn’t seem crazy.

From being fired a month ago to 7 million a year after only 2 home wins. Jesus Auburn is desperate.
