It's early in the off-season but there is an early favorite. The LSU fighting corndogs are your leader. It's been a week since the off-season has started but the LSU offense has got better, this is best team in school history, Burrow is a Heisman candidate. 2019 Hype

Next year, talent wise, only 1 team stands up to LSU, and that is BAMA. We have already shown we can beat Georgia.
LSU replaces 3 on defense and 2 on offense. We will have a loaded JR and SR class riddled with 4 and 5 stars on both sides of the ball.

We replace a placeholder running back with 5* John Emery. Our 2 5* recievers are now sophomores. Joe burrow has hit his stride in the offense and now has an entire year together. We return 4 if 5 o-linemen (only one that is leaving is being replaced by a player that was as good as him last year but was injured as well).

On defense, our LB unit as a whole will be better even though white is gone due to monstrous depth. Our CB position will be a push or better but with tons of depth, Fulton was playing statistically better than greedy William's by the end of the year. And Dave aranda has already stated the Derek Stingley Jr. (#1 OA recruit per rivals) Was the best DB at bowl practice. Our safety position is even better with another year of delpit (top safety in CFB entering the offseason), with 5* jacobe Steven's and 4* Todd Harris becoming lock down playmakers at FS/OLB. We return our entire d line this year, which is unproductive as it was statistically, was better than it people give it credit. LSU runs a 3-4 defensive scheme, and in the first game last year we lost our #1 edge rusher 5* DE/LB K'lavon chaisson. In a 3-4 defense you have to use the DE/LB to get pressure on the QB, white was our run stopper/flusher, and klavon was our sack man. We played with a gimped left side all year while still applying plenty of pressure on the outside without a true DE.

TLDR: A LSU team that went 10-3 with 2 crushingly close losses, will return 17/22 starters on offense and defense. Every position will more deep and slightly or significantly better next year. Especially on offense.

Bottom line, if this team does not reach 11-1, with a much weaker schedule, it is a complete failure.

So LSU does return alot and i would say less than 10 wins is under performing. I would also say that on a talent level Auburn holds up pretty dang well. We return our entire Offensive line which was inexperienced but improved throughout the year, All but two receivers and we had 2 of the best TFresh WRS in the country in Williams and Swartz (who is the fastest player in college football). On defense we lose our 3 starting LBs but what we havin coming back had plenty of playing time and we have the #1 OLB recruit in the country who i expect to play early. We will have possibly the best Dline in the country...So i would argue that Auburn has equal talent, and i would say UGA and UF have equal talent,,,,and Tamu is only another recruiting class away from being equal

Aggies will run away and hide with the offseason championship after a banner 9-4 season with Jimbo.

Ms state litterally lost half their team, LSU was very good this year, and is returning practically everyone next year, and improvement at a few positions. Who would think LSU would be worse next year?

Texas, Texas A&M and Florida is all toss-ups. Alabama is a loss.

Texas, aTm, and Florida all lost half of their starters. From a pure talent standpoint all 3 are worse this coming year and must rely on good coaching, all of which have that. Texas is overrated imo, and beat up a lifeless Georgia team. aTm is a home game, and historically LSU owns aTm in every sense of the word. Pluse they are out for revenge after last years clusterfrick of an officiating. Florida is also at home, and we will have no issues imo. Of the 3 Texas is my biggest concern but not by much. And I agree that Alabama is a loss, their are in our head...

Ok. Am I supposed to try and make it competitive? You want a thread about UK winning the SEC?
