National championship, Southeast Title, Heisman...most importantly upset alabama with Tua banged up...the odds of the replacement having this success would have to be low...he could have lots of good 10 win seasons, some BCS bowls, maybe a playoff loss or two if the sec gets two in one year. If the dude can hire competent coordinators, not speak his every thought to the media, and not embarrass the program every week then he's already better.

Basically the only "head coaching duty" that Orgeron performed well at was recruiting and even in that, he shite the bed in 2018 which is a part of the reason for the shite we're enduring now.

7-5 would probably be an improvement over O right now, which is what you asked.

Plus all the off field stuff.

every action he took as boss of the club, even if he chose to allow someone else to do something or not etc...his decisions as football coach that season resulted in the best possible outcome in LSU history as well as NCAA history. along with us last year. he could have made a different move here or there and no title.

my reply was a little smartass i admit but if they dont win at crazy levels, being good off the field and talking right wont really make anyone happy anymore. it really is gonna be a tough gig. Alabama level success is the expectation and even for us it will be hard to live up to.
