Elijah Moore pretended to pee like a bulldog in the endzone after catching the would-be game-tying touchdown of the Egg Bowl, giving his team a 15-yard penalty which led to a missed XP that cost Ole Miss the game.

Losing the Egg Bowl directly resulted in Matt Luke's firing, which created the opening for Lane Kiffin to come to Ole Miss. It also gave Joe Morehead one game's worth of extra rope with which to hang himself, which created the opening for Mike Leach to come to Mississippi State.

Just remember the next time you, reader, are considering pretending to take a piss like a bulldog in a public venue--actions have far-reaching consequences.

A 35 yard extra point should be automatic in SEC rivalry football. I would expect our kicker to still make that extra point. But yes you are correct that play will only be remembered and that’s all that matters.

What? Any Alabama kicker going back to maybe Proctor 100% misses that kick in that situation.

An Alabama fan would not post this.

Really?

Yes I know and that’s unacceptable. A 35 yard kick should be automatic in SEC rivalry football. That penalty shouldn’t have been blame for the loss. Had the touchdown been called back then yes he’s to blame for the loss but not because of a 35 yard kick. Bama’s recent history of missed pivotal kicks doesn’t negate that fact.

I framed it the way I did because the kick hooked right relatively late in its trajectory. If not for the penalty, he hits the kick before it pulls. The extra distance gave the ball time to finish its fateful flight to the right that set in motion the most magical Merry Christmas of meme coaches in Mississippi.

You're right that the kicker plain should have hit it anyway, but his mistake wouldn't have mattered if not for the penalty.
