Why wouldn’t LSU play in the big dance? This is about Will Wade not LSU basketball players.

LSU just opened an investigation today on the matter....can’t all go down in one day.

Will Wade is definitely done at LSU but as far as I know they don't have any proof that Smart or his family were paid. The conversations never even mention money specifically or any dollar amount or other benefit.

If they find the proof he was paid and ineligible, then the wins would be vacated, but that will take longer than 2-3 weeks.
Likely next year sometime we will discover the fate of this basketball season.

LSU could still play in every tournament, may have to sit Smart.
or the school could try to get ahead of any penalties and self ban from post season.

Given the NCAA track record on this, LSU would in all likelihood keep all wins from this point forward that involve neither Wade nor Smart.
