With talent evaluation skills like that, you MUST be on the state staff

manziel and dak? Anyone that puts either of those 2 above or even near Burrow is an absolute moron. No other way to put it. Were they good? Absolutely. But neither come close to Burrow's ability.

Peyton, Spurrier, Tebow, and Cam are the only comparable, and even then, Joey B has toasted all of their stats this year. Hes about to win the Heisman by the largest margin ever.

quote:

When you stack Burrow's stats against the quarterbacks who have won the Heisman since 2000, he's either already the best of the bunch or on pace to finish there.

If he posts his current averages in LSU's next two games, Burrow will finish as the king of modern Heisman quarterbacks, owning the best mark in every major statistical category.

Compared to the 15 quarterbacks to win the award this millennium, Burrow ranks first in completion percentage and passer rating, and he's on pace to finish first in yards, touchdowns, and completions.

Only Sam Bradford in 2008 completed more passes – Burrow is just 14 behind him with two fewer games played and is on pace to surpass him by the third quarter of Saturday's SEC Championship game. which he did

Only Bradford has thrown for more yards, too, but Burrow, who averages 363 yards per game, is just 354 yards from breaking that mark, too. 5 yards shy now

Bradford's 50 touchdown passes is also the standard, but Burrow needs six to match it and seven to surpass it, and he averages 3.7 touchdowns per game. only 2 back now

A 14 game projection would see Burrow finish 366-of-468 (78.3 percent) for 5,094 yards, 51 touchdowns, and a 203 passer rating. All would be the highest among Heisman winners.

All those numbers to say this: Joe Burrow isn't just the clear Heisman winner for 2019. If you gathered every Heisman quarterback since 2000 and gave out a single trophy to the best, chances are, he'd take that one home, too.

Sorry you clowns dont like it

That's it in 4 years. Wuerffel was one of the best we've ever seen. His career may be unmatched in this conference.

I agree his career is unmatched to this point.

He finished his Gator career by completing 708 of 1,170 passes for 10,875 yards with 114 touchdown passes, the best in SEC history and second-most in major college history.

His career pass efficiency rating of 163.56 was the best in major college history and his percentage of passes which went for a touchdown (9.74) ranked first in collegiate history.

In 1995, his efficiency rating of 178.4 set a single-season collegiate record. During his Heisman-winning season of 1996, he completed 207 of 360 passes for 3,625 yards (an SEC record at the time) for 39 touchdowns (leading the nation) and his efficiency rating of 170.6 made him the first quarterback to ever post a rating of 170 or better in back-to-back years.

I didn't say LSU specifically, I meant overall.

Just saying the game is different now. The infamous hits FSU laid on Wuerffel every game are not even allowed in the sport of football anymore. The QB position is protected like never before, DB play is not as physical anymore and the game is mostly geared towards the offense now.

Burrow has had an all-time great season though.
I believe we all admit that.

Had me nervous for that game. How in the world did auburn lose 3 games this year is beyond me. Damn that team look damn good vs bama and LSU. One thing bout auburn they always get up for Lsu and give us their best game except one year I remember when LSU beat the hell out of Auburn and Chiz was in his last year at Auburn

If youre going by one game against you and not overall, we can easily say Joe only avg'd 243 ypg and 1.5 tds a game against us. Not exactly Goat status through that angle.

He had a great season. Enjoy it. QBs like that don't happen very often.

Seldom is the term "arse-whipping of epic proportions" applied to the Heisman race. We are witnessing history. I think every SEC fan that had to face him will be able to appreciate what they were able to witness.

Brennan will do very well for LSU. And just like Bama we are loaded up and down the roster. Better RBs. Better D line. Another top ranked CB. Anyway It will be a very good year.
