Go over to the Tiger Rant and check the LSU fans flipping the script now saying Notre Dame never has an easy schedule.

And it's not been his fault they never win big games.
It's always been that he was not allowed to have good players.

Someone told me this morning that Notre Dame hasn't played a team with a .500 record in the second half of this season.

Haven't checked that tho. If true, that's ridiculous.

Edit:
Thanks to civiltiger... says those teams are at .500 or below. None have winning records.

To me it feels like they think the hire can't stand on its own merits so they have to pump it up a bit.

I think Kelly is good enough that they could say that he wanted out of that garbage heap and was ready for a real challenge. No need to artificially inflate ND's accomplishments.

yea that is false, North Carolina, Virginia, and Virginia Tech have .500 records. Maybe you meant to say above .500 record.

I mean.... how many big games has Kirby won and has it been because of bad players?

A win is a win is a win is a win is a win. He wins football games at ND. Do you think he going to suddenly start losing at LSU?

Schedules are made years in advance. Is it their fault that Florida State, USC, Stanford all suck? They also played Cincinnati, UNC, Purdue. It's not like their schedule is bad.

30.1% of NDs opponents were ranked during BK's time in South Bend.

44.4% of LSU's opponents were ranked during that same time frame.

Yes, there is a very good chance of this. He's really a bit of an unknown.

At Notre Dame, his accomplishments weren't that great. They have been playing easy schedules for the past years, especially with USC being in the shitter, and then on top of that, they get media hyped constantly, putting them in rankings they don't really deserve.

His style of football isn't exactly modern either unless he's changed it up the past few years without me noticing.

On the bright side, he should be able to get better talent at LSU. And he is an experienced coach who can run the program longer term without riding it into the ground.

So very little risk of being a disaster hire.

2021 FEI Ratings

55th schedule ranking.

That is lower than EVERY SEC school. Georgia has the lowest SoS in the SEC at 45th(but Georgia doesn't get to play itself).

LSU schedule rank for 2021: 4th overall.

It's a huge jump in difficulty.
