I am Catholic and I like ND. Yes some priests and others in leadership have grossly abused what they were called to do in service of Jesus Christ. I absolutely abhor anyone who has abused children or used their position for greed and other selfish reasons.
The faith doctrine of the church is sound however and that is what I believe.
Now back to baseball. I am good with good nature ribbing as that is part of the fun of college sports and baseball in particular.
I will be strongly pulling for my Dawgs but not expecting this to be easy at all. Will be a hard fought and well played series IMO. We played ND back in 2000 in a Regional at DNF and barely eeked out a win after ND came out of the losers bracket to force a final game.

They are definitely hot right now. I am hoping it turns out to be a great super. I also hope their team and fans have a great time in Starkville.

im a brother in Christ, but priests, particularly in the noreastern US, are creepy as hell. the pope is a disaster to the church. dont get mad...bastardization of God's word is happening in protestant churches as well.

They used to be the best football program in the nation, or at least one of the two best (alabama), but as far as I know those associated with the program or its fans don't cry and whine about the relative loss of celebrity or status, so you have to respect that imo.

Look, I'd love to hate on them, as I do, in fact, hate the program and love it gets.
But I respect the hell out of the position they have put themselves in.
-2nd only to Texas in getting overranked on name only
-National school of catholics everywhere
-NBC gives them unmatched coverage compared to all other teams
-Staying an independent and getting to avoid having to play in a conference championship game barring a global pandemic
Nobody else gets treated with kid gloves like that
But I respect the hell out of the position they have put themselves in.

I absolutely agree with this. As a Christian it greatly disturbs me. I don’t care if it’s Catholic, Baptists, or anything. There is a special place in hell for those who harm kids
