President Garfield is fatally wounded by an assassin in 1881.
Amelia Earhart disappears over Pacific in 1937.
Ernest Hemingway commits suicide in 1961.
North and South Vietnam unified in 1976.
All of these things happened on July 2, 7/2. There may be some good things that have transpired on this day, but the fact remains that there are better things to come two days later on July 4, 7/4.
7/4 is better than 7/2

72 points against a Steve Ensminger offense in a home game during Jimbo’s honeymoon.
I continue to be surprised by how often A&M fans call attention to such an embarrassing game for them.

Don't forget what happened July 2, 1776.
