That 82 game against Penn state was the head scratcher. Georgia had a true frosh corner in Tony flack but the number one rush defense in america. Only at the very end did Penn state test flack with a 47 yard bomb to put the game away. Had todd blackledge thrown more to garrity, Jackson and Baugh, that game would have been over at halftime. Walker Lee Ashley dominated Herschel all night. Ironically, georgia moved the ball passing which was as foreign to Georgia football then as the French language.

Also, don't forget 1981 when UGA still had a national title shot against Pitt in the sugar bowl. If clemson were to lose to Nebraska in the Orange, UGA would most likely be national champs.
