Non-LSU/AL fans....how much stock do you put into “battle tested”

See this thrown around a lot by pundits and posters here, especially of the gold and yellow variety. You eastern division folks are no different.
Last year, all we heard was how Clemson had a joke of a schedule and they’d get demolished in the championship because their best competition was Duke and Syracuse. Or how LSU had been through a gauntlet of tough games like usual instead of Alabama, which plays cupcakes every year.
What was the result of both?
4 TD blowouts.
When DOES battle tested apply or work in the aforementioned teams favor though? And does battle tested mean overcoming bad situations against JUST tough competition or would say Georgia WINNING the SC game do nothing for their team down the road against a Clemson or Oklahoma in the playoff in crunch time?

Clemson shocked the world, I expected an LSU loss. I guess you have to look at the whole picture which I admit with Clemson I didn’t last year. If I would have I would have seen that a couple of games they played like they did in the Championship. LSU looks the part this year

Is that what you plan to do for four weeks? Talk a boatload of shite and any rebuttal is being “insecure”?

he/she calls people insecure yet is the only poster here that consistently instantly upvotes themself.

Remember when you ran to the Help Board begging the mods to stop people from picking on you?
Even though it’s “not you”..?

Remember when you upvote yourself, form arguments that consist solely of spring,tx and random false personal attacks?
Oh that’s every single day here.
Because you’re a legit motherfricking loser

Battle-tested doesn't matter for the top 1 or 2 programs that have more talent than anyone else. That’s why Bama doesn’t schedule anyone; just like FSU in the 90’s. Better to avoid injuries and the rare upset. Save your all-stars for the 1 or 2 games you might actually lose.

I think it can be a factor. Sometimes it can be a big factor, but every team, season, and circumstances are different.
Clemson was tested early last year by Aggie & Syracuse. They got their act together and rolled through the rest of the season.
Battle tested is usually a positive, but first a team has to survive a tough schedule. It’s incredibly hard to go through a season undefeated.
IF a team survives a tough schedule, then they should have an advantage. However, team that coasted most of the season has a better chance to be 100% healthy. The battle tested team could be dealing with injuries throughout the roster.

It can help in close games, if you didn’t see the Clemson blowout of bama coming you weren’t paying attention.

LSU is kicking arse regardless of their opponent. You can take whatever angle you’d like but these are the facts.
