Only A&M gets credit though. After that Bama has just given up and that allows LSU and Auburn (not OM) to give Bama 3 losses.

They'll still beat an ACC team in a bowl game though. They won't give up that bad.

I don't think they 3-peat. And for the record, I didn't think they'd repeat either.

I'd say about 35%. What I'm really interested in is if a 1-loss SEC Champ gets in over undefeated Louisville.

No undefeated BCS conference team has ever been left out for a 1 loss team. The only time undefeated BCS conference teams have been left out has been for other undefeateds.

On the heels of them killing a 1 loss Florida team, no way it's not Louisville.

The NCAA doesn't decide who gets in. Have you seen Louisville's schedule for this year? There was outrage of OSU getting left out because they played several ranked teams-- more than Bama did. I'd be surprised if one team Louisville defeats in the regular season ends as ranked.

Human polls and lack of a loss will push them over the top. No way the human polls leave an undefeated team out of the top 2 if they started high enough (UL will start high)

Also, the undefeated season and relatively harder schedule than Boise St will be enough to not drop them too far in computer polls

ZERO. Won't happen. They lost their whole O-line and half their defense. Bama will lose 3 games this year. I said it first. LSU, aTm, and yes....Ole Miss.

Bama only lost Lester, Milliner, Williams, and Johnson. They have 11 players returning that had starts last season on defense.

Last season was a rebuilding year for the Bama defense.

Bob: Ok Gentleman, the Bulls are preparing to defend their crown, and gentleman, the only question is not will they repeat, but how many times?

Pat: You know, I I don’t think were talking a repeat, a three peat, or even a four peat.

Carl: That’s right, were talking a minimum eight peat.

Oh and here' some irony, Alabama could have had 3 AP titles in a row.

They won titles in 64 and 65 with losses, and other teams claim both years as well, however the year they go undefeated and were completely dominate in 66 and deserved it more than anyone, they don't get it.

Crazy, crazy pollsters.

Say what you want about the BCS and the new playoff system, it's still a hell of a lot better than it was.

Those are the intangibles I mentioned. I was strictly speaking mathematically, if all things were equal, the odds would be the same this year as last.

I hear you but still, I respectfully disagree.

The intangibles are part of the odds-making process although, clearly, they might still be the favorite to win another championship, as favored as they have been the past three or four years heading into the season ... but the odds of them doing it are totally different imho.

They are 3:1 betting favs - okay, I get that.

But the odds are more along the lines of winning $100k on a scratch and play lotto card. Not of winning the entire lottery mind you, because those kind of odds would be reserved for Rutgers or Rice or Idaho for instance. But the odds are remote, as they are for all teams, some more than others except in very rare cases.

If Alabama wins at both TAMU and vs LSU then they will destroy whoever is in the SECCG and LBCSNC.

Unless A&M makes our mulligan arse quit in a second game.
