Talking about football of course.
What percent chance do you think Bama has to be the first 3peat?
I say pretty high. 40% chance.

They have as good a shot as anyone.

I'd say about 35%. What I'm really interested in is if a 1-loss SEC Champ gets in over undefeated Louisville.

Not a chance. NCAA would lose to much respect from the rest of the country if a 1 loss SEC team made it over an undefeated team from any major conference. People around the country would see it as the NCAA just showing favoritism towards the SEC, even though any 1 loss SEC team is clearly the best team in the country. Remember how big of a deal it was made when OK State didn't get in over Bama? Think if OK State would have been undefeated how bad it would have been.

The NCAA doesn't decide who gets in. Have you seen Louisville's schedule for this year? There was outrage of OSU getting left out because they played several ranked teams-- more than Bama did. I'd be surprised if one team Louisville defeats in the regular season ends as ranked.

I don't think they do it this year...
They've gotten a lot of breaks for the 4-year run to happen, but most importantly, when you're on top, you get everyone's best...It's going to be tough for Alabama this year, despite key players returning, where as you look at someone like South Carolina, who has the easy schedule and are off the radar a bit...
The more you're on top of the mountain, the bigger target you are...

Did Louisville join a major conference?

technically they're in one. Hell, South Florida made it to #2 in 2007.... if they theoretically won out they'd have been in the BCS title game (they lost their next 3)

FALSE.
Bama has won every national championship since the game was invented

I'd say we have a damn good shot because a lot of our issues were mostly addressed in the offseason.
The offensive line looked strong at Aday and many of the position battles look to be finished (save maybe LG). They seemed to do well in both pass blocking and run blocking during that game against a pretty athletic DL. However, I would like to see these guys in an actual game before I finalize my judgement.
Mosley decided to return which is huge since he will be a leader. Before, I was concerned about who would be the guy to organize the front 7 on the field and make audibles, but now I am much more comfortable with that.
Also, Sunseri is changing roles so that he will no longer be the nickel back meaning over coverage on third down should be better. I imagine LC will take over either during the summer or at the beginning of the season leaving us with much more athletic starting safeties. Sunseri may come on in more obvious running downs since he does better there.

The east will win the SECCG...no chance for Bama, and that's if they made it there...but they have soft schedule...when in the hell did they last play UGA? 1965 or 1966? It will be A&M or Bama in the west.
UF or USC will win it. Don't laugh...it will come back to bite your azz.

Call me crazy, but I think bama loses 2 games. It's just too hard to stay on top for that long. During the last 2 years, bama has depended on other teams losing late in the year to get into the title game. That won't keep happening

If Emmert, Slive, The SEC Scheduling Coordinator and the BCS Human Poll Voters and Coach Voters have their way - 100%.

I don't think that would happen, but I wouldn't be completely surprised if it does. We play @A&M and vs LSU. Both of those games are very losable.
