The governor just announced at a news conference. Really makes no sense, all these college kids will now just be cooped up in apartments and in dorms partying besides being outside. Also 25% capacity in stands.

So far I think FSU is the only school allowing tailgating.

It would be really hard to police any guidelines put in place for tailgating when you have tens of thousands of fans spread around all corners of the campus. I'm not shocked they aren't going to allow tailgating. Especially at a place like Ole Miss where the grove is thousands of people crammed together in a small area. Not to mention, when alcohol is involved, sanitation goes out the window. I'll be happy with just having a season at this point. I'm not going to complain if I can't tailgate.

I'd rather them restrict stuff like tailgating than shut everything down again after an outbreak they blame on a tailgate.

Lol.
Students won’t still be on campus. It’s becoming clear that this was always part of the plan.

Yep, wait until those tuition checks clear, then tell everyone they have to stay away from campus and attend class online.

Do you think football will make it through the year, I know you thought football wouldn't happen at all in the Fall

I'm hoping these new FDA approved $4 saliva tests will be beneficial in us getting through the season. And honestly, if regular students aren't on campus, it helps minimize the opportunities for players to socialize, get sick, and have COVID run through the team. However, I still think this will be a week-to-week thing all season with everyone being on edge and praying something doesn't happen to screw it up.

we didn't always have the internet, social media, and a 24 hour news cycle to scare people all day.

Auburn isn't allowing tailgating either. On campus anyways.

I'm guessing there will be lots of get-togethers in apartment complexes (in B4 trailer parks) around town, but off campus, on Saturday mornings.

I think games get played if they can get students off campus.
