They make their money off the rent a win games with power 5. Since they arent getting those, makes more sense to just take your ball and go home, as bad as I hate that for these schools.

All the teeth gnashing and Bama being a baby back bitch about schedules isn’t going to matter. Football is unlikely to happen.

Ugh. This hurts everyone else more than people will realize. Puts more pressure on the NCAA

Honestly I’d watch the hell out of the MAC in the spring

The MAC pays their bills with their OOC matchups, particularly against the Big 10. Without those football becomes a major expense for athletic departments that don't have a lot of wiggle room to start with.

Although some are putting a brave face on it I would not be surprised if more G5 conferences don't follow. Including independents like Army and BYU.

Smart move. If they’re not gonna get the payday games and bowl games are unlikely as well, might as well play in the spring with less chance of cancellations and reduced crowds. Also will get more TV time

If football in the SEC is delayed to the spring watch the schedules flip again.

They aren't playing in the Spring, it would be cost prohibitive.

You could help the smaller schools with money (this year) if you made the spring game an actual game where you hosted a G5 school looking for a payheck.

Doesn't the MAC have some sort of TV Deal with a lesser network or some Regional Network, a lot of MAC Games when the MAC team is at home are televised somewhere, they gotta have some small TV deal somewhere

Hope for a vaccine that is at least partially effective. That will change the mindset of enough to make the difference.

Financially, they had no choice at all. It sucks.
