National Invitation Tournament - Round 1
(1) Alabama vs (8) Norfolk State
When:
March 20 - 6:00pm - ESPNU
Where:
Tuscaloosa, AL - Coleman Coliseum
Overview:
Norfolk State (21-13) travels to Coleman Coliseum to take on Avery Johnson and the Alabama Crimson Tide (18-15).
Coming off a bad loss vs Kentucky, the Crimson Tide look to finish an underwhelming season with a tournament run.The Spartans of Norfolk come in to this game with a 21-13 record, the best in the MEAC. They are led by guard Nic Thomas. Hopefully you are still reading this. If so, I would just like to say lmao. Do you actually think anyone is going to preview this turd of a game? Come on now. While you are here, let's talk about that national title game. How funny was that? Forty four to sixteen. Not good. This should be a great test for an Alabama team that struggled to find it's footing in a division that featured the SEC tournament and regular season champions.
Look for Norfolk to come out swinging in what should be a fantastic display of NIT basketball.

If NorfolkState is smart or watched film, they will pressure every inbounds play and trap the guard at midcourt. Bama can't pass well either. If that fails, just foul. Free throw shooting sucks too.
