From someone who's done graphic design work, the artist probably did hundreds of thumbnails and a dozen mockups but the client always picks the absolute worst one without fail.

That's pretty horrible.
Almost as bad as that tiger on that big 12 school's helmet.

What are you talking about? The OLD logo was literally the same as Houston's.

Tilt your head and it looks like two birds having sex.

Actual secondary Aggie logo
I really think this would be a great mascot, and keep Rev as the live one.

I like the old Tennessee "rifleman" logo. Bring that back.

You mean Davey Crockett?

Not a fan of the secondary logo. Don't see much difference in the interlocking UK.
Go back to the Power K on football helmets please.

F*ck Kansas for bitching about it so UK had to drop it. F*ck Kansas!
Why blame Kansas? They are already kind enough to go by "KU" instead of "UK" (even though their school's name's real initials are UK).
Texas and Tennessee even went to the trouble to make an agreement on the usage of the initials "UT":
----------------------------------------
United Press International
February 14, 1986, Friday
The University of Texas has reached a settlement with the University of Tennessee over the use of the ''UT'' trademark on such items as T-shirts, beer mugs, key chains and customized toilet seats.
Texas said a possible court dispute loomed because Tennessee had applied to the federal government for the right to use the trademark on a number of items not covered under Texas' trademark rights.
Under the agreement between the two schools, Tennessee gets to use the trademark east of the Mississippi River and in Louisiana's West Baton Rouge Parish, home of Southeastern Conference member Louisiana State University. [note: LSU is actually located in East Baton Rouge Parish, which is east of the Mississippi River]
Texas will own the trademark everywhere else west of the Mississippi.
In addition, the agreement gives the Longhorns and Volunteers limited rights to use the popular interlocking UT logo design in each other's territory during bowl games or other special events.
A staff recommendations to the Texas Board of Regents said the solution was not ideal, but ''it does avoid a costly and protracted administrative and court proceeding.''

I like it for a secondary logo. It looks like it takes inspiration from logos like old European lions, tigers, and griffins
