Coach Bryant(Bless his soul!) was rode hard and put up wet. He packed well over 100 years worth of living in his time on earth.

Is it, though? When was the last time Saban did what you expected?

My dad worked till he was 80 because he loved what he was doing. Still sharp. With his CEO style Saban could work another 10 years. We have to learn to compete. Not sure how to do that but I know waiting around ain't the answer.

When you can collect $10 million per year and have it on autopilot than why leave.
I feel sorry for the replacement coach.

Certainly plausible but there’s only been two hall of game coaches to coach deep into their 70s before and they didn’t do well. (Bowden and Paterno)

Well, if you can't beat them, be philosophical I always say. Profound.

Amazing the difference a 5th of Dickel and 4 packs of Chesterfields per day will have on the aging process.

Paterno went 11-2 and finished in the top 10 two years in a row when he was 82 and 83 years old.
