How crazy us that? As A Bama fan I must say I used to hate playing Saban coached LSU teams, their D was always tough. Chad Lavalais was a great college DT, I remember him dominating Alabama's OL one year.

Crazy it’s been 20 years since we hired him. I was a sophomore at LSU. I remember hooping and hollering we needed to fire him after the UAB loss lol. Shows how little we know sometimes.

I remember listen to Joe Namath in the Broadcast Booth referencing Saban, saying that's the kind of coach we need that right there.

All anyone has to do is pop over to the tiger rant and recruiting page. There they'll find some of the shittiest comments imaginable, not only about nick saban but les miles as well.

Nick saban really is the worst thing that ever happened to the lsu fanbase. He's caused nothing but bitterness and consternation among all of you.
His success completely wrecked you in two ways.
First and foremost. He made this self pitiful, victim wrought fanbase believe they belong in the upper reaches. When in fact, lsu is nothing more than a mid-pack west Mississippi football program.
And secondly, he has all of you resenting, shitting on and devaluing you SECOND in a row, hall of fame, national championship winning headcoach. The very same one who has a better record at lsu that nick saban does.
So ruined has nick saban made you that you can't even appreciate the first or second most successful coach in your middling history.

I agree with you about aome of the idiots from Trant are but don't act like it's a majority.
They stand out because they are the so far gone its ridiculous.
I love Les Miles,I believe he did a great job. Nick laid a very strong foundation and helped destroy what he built by coaching again o1n the SEC West.
He's a winner no doubt.i respect his work ethic but I don't respect him as a man like I do for Les. Les will always be a Tiger in his heart while Nick isn't loyal to anything.

I think a big majority of tiger fans are appreciative to what Nick Saban meant and did for the football program. He put us on the map and we are still on the map. Mst have an opionion that he may be the greatest coach ever lived. Most will admit this. But that does not mean anyone has to like him or pull for him. He lied to LSU and to the dolphins. He made 2 mistakes. Because of the negative feedback not only by LsU fans but mainly from the media by his actions, it made him realize he probably needs to stay on one job for awhile. Which he has done. But like him most will say no. I am one of them.
