The guy came out and said A&M bought there whole class. That’s pretty strong language. He’s not usually that brash. He either no longer gives a crap because he’s old and knows he’s cemented his legacy and/or he’s really upset. I was surprised, he’s usually a lot more buttoned up than that.

This is a fair analysis. I was surprised as well by Saban. Only additional point I’d make is that there was a major difference in venue that I think is relevant here. Going off the cuff (and too far) to a bunch of boosters is way more understandable than that emergency emo presser meltdown that Jimbo held.
