Nick Saban is a clueless, gutless, selfish coward for his silence on Roy Moore

By remaining silent on the numerous allegations that Moore was a pedophile, Saban showed he does not care about the plight or protection of young women and girls.

By remaining silent on Moore’s romanticization of slavery, Saban showed he does not care about the plight or opinions of so many young black men who produce his unearned salary.

He's a fricking college football coach, not a politician.

I agree, he should start playing his black players over his white players. It seems like Bama is completely white.

One of the things I appreciate about Nick Saban is his laser focus on football to the exclusion of pretty much anything else. It's a refreshing change from so many others who believe that some measure of notoriety give them instant credibility on any/all social/economic/military/political topic under the sun. Just STFU and do your job - act, sing, write, coach, whatever.

To my knowledge, he hasn't commented on the move of the Embassy in Israel either.

Gotta love the casual racism of liberals

“Hey hundreds of black people that Nick Saban has coached, you’re not smart enough to notice but Nick Saban is racist. I know better than you because I’m a white journalist that has never met the guy.”

It’s like when they tell people that the republican candidate isn’t a candidate for women. They will tell the millions upon millions of women that voted for Trump that they don’t represent actual women because women are supposed to think a certain way. It’s blatant and, for some reason socially acceptable, prejudice.

It is a rare time when I come to Sabans defense, but the gutless, clueless coward is the guy that wrote that piece.

You feel Gus is a "coward" for the staying silent too? What about the Governor of the state for staying silent?

Saban and Malzahn are football coaches whose salary is overwhelmingly paid by outside funds - not by taxpayer dollars. They have no obligation to inject themselves into the political discourse should they choose not to.

I have zero doubt that both Saban and Gus are perfectly willing to have candid discussions with any members of their teams who would like said discussions, but it isn't either of those coaches responsibility to share their private opinions with the world.

Click bait article.
