I think there's a lot more to it than just Emmert and Woodward being the son in law alone won't be the reason if LSU doesn't get in trouble. There will be other factors like lack of a paper trail.

LSU Basketball players already met with NCAA officials and found no wrongdoing. No payments. No paper trail. There's nothing on the wire taps that prove Will Wade was discussing a payment for a player.
If this is all of the information we have, nothing is going to happen.
