On the same team (SSK) as his old Auburn teammate Duke Williams.

Looks like he's had a really nice career as a DB in Canada the last 4 years. 103 tackles, 14 interceptions, 5 TDs.

Hell of an athlete. Great college QB.

What an original throat tat, I’m sure a lot of thought went into it.

Roughriders’ Duke Williams: ‘I ain’t spit on nobody’

Published: Jul. 29, 2022, 4:19 p.m.

The Saskatchewan Roughriders will have wide receiver Duke Williams back in the lineup when they take on the British Columbia Lions in a Canadian Football League game on Friday night.

The former Auburn pass-catcher apologized to his teammates and Saskatchewan fans for missing the Roughriders’ 31-21 loss to the Toronto Argonauts on Sunday while serving a one-game suspension imposed by the CFL. But he said Argonauts coach Ryan Dinwiddie’s accusation that he spit on a Toronto player was false.

“I apologize to Rider Nation,” Williams said on Tuesday. “I apologize to my teammates, the fans. I got out of character. It won’t happen again. But at the end of the day, that’s all I apologize for.”

The league suspended Williams for an altercation before the Roughriders and Argonauts squared off in the Touchdown Atlantic game in Wolfville, Nova Scotia, on July 16. Williams pulled the helmet off Toronto’s Shaquille Richardson and threw it at the Toronto defensive back.

“Such pregame hostilities are unacceptable, and the use of a helmet as a weapon is especially dangerous,” CFL Commissioner Randy Ambrosie said in a statement issued by the league. “Neither is to be tolerated.”

The CFL also levied its maximum fine against Richardson – one-half of his game check – for initiating the confrontation during warmups and then punching Williams during the game.

“You poke a bear too much, of course he’s going to get angry, so that’s what happened,” Williams said. “I got out of character. I was mad, and I let my emotions get the best of me, which I can’t do. I’m a professional athlete. I have these fans looking up to me. I’m a leader of this team, and I can’t show that on the field at the end of the day. Like I said, I apologize to Rider Nation. That’s not how I should carry myself, and for the rest of the year, you won’t see me do nothing like that. We’ll focus on making the playoffs and winning the Grey Cup in our backyard.”

Cost himself generational wealthy by not playing DB in Athens. Hate it for him.

Well, he didn't dismiss himself from the team. His actions did.

I'm sure he'd rather have remained a bulldog. But, he was a perfect fit for Malzahn at QB

Fortunately for him, the barn doesn't even require you to be literate to suit up. Or even graduate.

Do you even watch sports? Is this your first time seeing tatoos on a black athlete or something?

And to think Auburn is still ranked higher than Alabama in academics.
