Just bring it up again next year when it matters. I dont even know if you'll be around or not.

All talk, figures.

Let the record show tbird declined an avi bet on his claim that LSU is an NCAAT lock next season.

They are such a lock to him that he won't bet it.

I said if JOB III returns, I wont know that for a while, which is why I said bring it up again next season. Shouldn't matter to you bringing up then.

When did you say that?

We are a lock for next year, no doubt about it. We'll have a sick amount of talent.

Doesn't mention IF O'Bryant is back or not.

So now you are saying it depends on one good player? That recruiting class won't pick up the slack you don't think? Not enough to even make the NCAAT?

Just like it depends on a good coach, which you piggies always said this past football season.

Well know one knows how "good" Jones is so I don't know about that.

One player shouldn't make or break a team, especially one that he calls a "lock" next year.

Clearly on the last page.

I clearly said in my response to you if O'Bryant III comes back.

So now are you going to hedge out or not? Are you against bringing it up next season or not? I am saying I am fine if you just bring it up next season.

Dumbass

If that player is an All-SEC talent it absolutely has a big effect, how can you disagree with that?

Certainly it could when it's a guy throwing up a double double more often than not in conference play. Yeah, I'd say that could make a big difference, especially from an experience standpoint.

The key players to next year are Hickey, Martin, Mickey and JOB III with JOB III and Hickey being most improtant as they are very good players with tons of experience. Then the supporting players to them in Odo, Stringer, Morgan and Quarterman.

You lose a key player, especially one with experience, it can certainly change things. He's the best player on the team.

So you are fine with or without O'Bryant coming back just not until next year? Okay then.

Up to you, I could give a shite less, you seem to be the one hung up on this. Either bring it up next season when I know who is back or drop it.

Too late for that shite, not even gonna edit.

Eh, with a good recruiting class it can definitely offset the loss of a good player.

Exactly why I myself think if BJ Young goes pro, Arkansas will actually be better next year without him, and he's an All-SEC player and Top 20 projected draft pick.

Many different reasons factor in, I certainly wouldn't call a team a lock or a non-lock over one good player.

Maybe he just undervalues the term "lock".

I'm not undervauling anything.

We are a lock if JOB III returns. I stated as much. Every non elite program outside of the Kentuckys of the world need some experienced good players around big time newcomers to make runs and get to the tournament. You dont simply replace JOB III's double doubles he's had and his experience this year with a true freshman unless he's a top player in the country or thereabouts. Martin is a big time player, and should be awesome next year for us, but he's not 6'9, 265 and a double double machine already in the conference.

We will definitely be better next year, without question, but JOB returning would make us a more legitimate team when it comes to playing high quality competition and coming away with wins that impress the selection committee.

Yes but you aren't replacing him 1 for 1, there is an overall influx of talent across the bench where 2 or 3 newcomers can offset the loss of O'Bryant.

Also, where are you guys getting that he might go pro? I don't even see him listed on NBADraftNet or DraftExpress unless he's going to go overseas?

the biggest thing is if he returns, we present everyone we play with huge matchups issues with both him and Odo on the floor at the same time.

6'9, 265 and 6'10 220+ who both rebound excellent will present huge matchups problems...especially when you consider outside of those you have a one of the top players in the country in Martin and Hickey running the point.

Exactly, plus if/when JOB gets in foul trouble we won't be completely screwed like we are this year.

A lot of smoke saying JOB goes pro somewhere regardless of draft status. No link though.

We;re hearing the same with Powell, overseas likely though despite his great play like O'Bryant.
