Florida still being in the top 10 despite being spanked by Bama in Gainesville shows how tough this conference is and how highly people think of the SEC in softball.

It has been said before but I’ll say it again anyways ... overall, the women in this conference dominate all of their sports far more than do the men.

You look at all the women sports in this conference and they are all ultra competitive.

I haven't been following softball, but Florida looks out of place. How is a 12 loss SEC team above a 4 loss SEC team?

They’re not.

Does Oklahoma still have that huge pitcher that won them the championship as a freshman?

Polls are odd. Ole Miss is a combined 5-1-1 against SC, Minnesota, and Oklahoma State. Has a similar record. Better conference record than SC. Better RPI than OSU and SC and a better SOS than all three.

SC's series win against Alabama goes a long way right now with Alabama having lost only four games. Not surprising they'd have them ahead of Ole Miss.

No, it’s surprising. That’s why only one of the three polls has SC higher. They are 7-10 in the league despite their Alabama wins.
