Georgia recruited some great talent and should be around that number.

Barnes is CoTY if he takes this abysmal roster to 5th place

In all likelihood SC is too low. Martin will have his most talented team ever this season.
Mizzou may be too low as well. They've got the talent, I guess the question is about Cunzo. Georgia may be too high but that guy seems to be a good coach.
The conference is going to be a beast this season.

Mizzou is lower than Id like to see... no one has the answers I suppose but all of the players from the Kim Anderson era are all gone (with the exception of Reid Nikko) and our young core isn't getting any worse. With the addition of talented new players and Dru Smith I would bump us up A few spots.

They have State at 7 while forgetting that Reggie Perry is a player

100%... We might end up there, or even better... but hard to project given how much change there will be this season

Huh?
"Plenty of talent and scoring potential remains as Tyson Carter, Reggie Perry and Nick Weatherspoon should all step up."

About right and would have Ole Miss a little higher

I'd be absolutely shocked if UGA made the tournament, you're bringing in probably 1 immediate impact great player (Edwards), then some guys who will take some time to develop into them. On top of that, losing Claxton was backbreaking for the team for next season. You have Hammonds in the front court, hope Ngumezi is way way way better than last season, then basically nobody, a bunch of 6'5-6'6 freshman wings after that.
It's a 6-9 win SEC team IMO.

I don’t get the Tennessee and Auburn hype coming into this year. They both lost the three best players on last years team and aren’t bringing in a great recruiting class. If Claxton didn’t leave early I would agree with Georgia being top 5 but they have no bigs on the roster. Outside of Florida and Kentucky every team has a major hole on the roster they’re trying to replace. I’m pretty confident Ole Miss will finish higher than 9th. Shuler couldn’t even practice last season for Ole Miss because of a foot injury and still was a good PG last year.

I think Tennessee could be argued to be knocked down a few pegs, due to what should be one of the weakest front courts in the league, however, they return Bowdon, Turner who are seniors and double digits scorers/solid players from last year. Adding a 5-star guard James to the mix as well, so their back court could really carry them.
Auburn returns a solid core of guys too, add what looks to be 1 immediate impact player as well.
Yeah these teams have some roster turnover, but still should be pretty good.
I would have Ole Miss higher than 9 though. Maybe 6-8 range.

They aren't amazing as a whole but both teams are bringing in one top 35 player which is significant. James is really going to have to carry Tennessee at some points in the year.

Agreed on Claxton potentially being a big difference for Georgia. Actually feel for them in that regard.

Switch Florida and Kentucky, put MSU 5 and Tennessee 6 and thats how I think it ends up. With 7 teams getting in tourney

A lot of very solid talent in the SEC again this season. I like our having guys with experience returning - especially bigs.
Tyrese Maxey is gonna be a problem for other teams.
