300k is a ludicrous number, but I'm not under the delusion that any kid that's even a borderline one and done player didn't get something on the side to sign with a school.

Honestly, that was my first thought as well. But, Wade's recruiting practices have been under a lot of scrutiny since he was at VCU so he's obviously doing something right on the payment side. He just messed up talking about it on the phone.
