There is absolutely no way these defenses are THAT bad. There's talent on all 3.

Vanderbilt has skewed the South Carolina ranking. We're nowhere near #18.

Because all three of those DCs should be coaching at the FCS level

Six INTs will give you a proper boost it seems.

Lulz, our pass defense was ranked dead last prior to State...so much for the Air Raid Offense.

Emmm, I can say LSU's is indeed that bad. In fact likely worse because we've played Vandy.

But in general, it appears as though the SEC is the new Big 12...nary a team in sight wants to play defense anymore.

Honest question because I'm ignorant on the topic. Do rankings like this just look at the scoreboard or just the actual defense? Like with tennessee first td yesterday, or a qb throwing a pick 6. Would those still count even though not given up by the defense?

I think this is just for yards allowed per game.

I’m honestly shocked to see we’re not last.

How Ole Miss isn’t in the triple digits makes me question these rankings.

Because there are only 76 teams currently playing.

There aren't triple digit teams this year, so that's the only reason.
