If I were a Bama fan I would bookmark this. I think it was a great hire. I heard someone on the radio say was it a grand slam hire? And the host responded maybe, maybe not but in terms of basketball and not the just the press
Conference was it was a 3

I think most of us like everything we've seen and heard, but we also know that mid-major guys aren't ever home runs.

Of all the fans to be laughing at hiring a hot mid-major coach you'd think LSU fans would be the ones to hold back considering your current suspended coach that you love so much.

I hate to say this. Will wade came from a mid-major and was a home run hire (pre getting caught). I think Alabama made a really good hire IMO

Not trolling at all, if I were a bama I would love this hire. I think he's not just a good coach, but I think that like Pearl he has the right personality to be a winner. He seems like the type of coach that a player would run through a wall and go to war for.
Loved his comments about the Pac-12 last year. I would be a big fan of Oats if he hadn't just signed a contract to work for the devil.

Yea, I agree with all of that. All of the stuff I've remembered and then watched/read seems to check the boxes for the stuff you need to win and win people over at a football school. Style of play, coaching style, attitude, all that stuff.
Now he just has to prove he can do it in a big time league everynight.
